Adam Jarrett is running for the District 3 seat on the St. Lawrence County Board of Legislators. A physician, he moved his family to Ogdensburg more than 20 years ago to become chief medical officer at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center, a post he held from 2005 to 2010 before serving in the same role at Holy Name Medical Center until 2022. He now practices at the Claxton-Hepburn Wound Care Center. He holds a bachelor's degree from Union College, a medical degree from George Washington University and a master's degree from New York University. About Joseph Lightfoot

Joseph Lightfoot is the incumbent District 3 member of the St. Lawrence County Board of Legislators. The county's official listing gives an Ogdensburg address and shows him chairing the board's Finance Committee. In an interview with North Country Public Radio this fall, he emphasized the county's financial stability under the current Republican majority and explained his vote against a data center moratorium, saying the county lacks the legal authority to impose one.
