American Legion National Commander Jay Bowen visited Clayton’s American Legion Post 812 Monday as part of a nationwide tour meeting with local commanders and veterans. The visit focused on concerns about veterans’ services, including VA wait times and access to disability and medical support.
Bowen is expected to take findings from the tour to Congress in Washington. He represents about 2.5 million veteran families across roughly 13,000 American Legion posts, while Congress will decide whether to make changes based on the findings.
