North Country teams post mixed results in Friday sports action
Friday’s North Country high school and college sports results included wins for Carthage football, Watertown girls soccer, Clarkson hockey and several other teams.

Carthage defeated Watertown, 50-16, in high school football Friday. Other football winners included Potsdam, Malone, Lowville, General Brown and Morrisville-Eaton.
Watertown beat Indian River, 3-0, in high school girls soccer, while Gouverneur defeated Malone, 5-2. In college sports, Clarkson beat UMass Lowell, 3-2, in men’s hockey and defeated St. Lawrence, 3-1, in women’s hockey. SUNY Canton also beat SUNY Cobleskill, 3-2, in volleyball.
