A Canton resident asked the Town Board to consider a four-way stop at Morley-Potsdam and Sykes roads, citing safety concerns and recent crashes. The request was raised during the board’s Sept. 10 meeting.
Town Supervisor Jim Smith said any proposal would need review by the state and county, with the Department of Transportation making the final determination. The board did not commit to pursuing the request. The recent crash and reports of a fatal crash at the intersection should be independently confirmed before publication.
