Clarkson opened its women’s hockey season with a 6-3 nonleague win over Rochester Institute of Technology at Cheel Arena in Potsdam.
Layla Matthew and Sara Manness each scored twice. Manness also assisted on Ciara Lang’s power-play goal, while Matthew scored on a rebound as Clarkson built an early 2-0 lead.
